~Meaning of roses~

Red Roses

Red roses say, "I love you." Red roses are the ultimate symbol of romantic love and enduring passion. Florists can't keep up with the Valentines Day demand for red roses, which makes them especially expensive in February.

Pale Pink Roses

Pale pink roses imply grace, gentleness, and joy.

Light Pink Roses

Light pink roses express a sense of fun, happiness, and whimsy.

Deep Pink Roses

Deep pink roses say, "Thank you."

i like this =)

Lilac Roses

Lilac roses indicate the sender has fallen in love at first sight with the recipient and is enchanted. (To make sure the recipient doesn't miss the message, an appropriate card might also be a good idea. The meaning of lilac roses isn't as widely-known as the meaning of red roses, for instance.)

i like this =)
White Roses

Pure white roses symbolize truth and innocence. They also send other messages like, "I miss you," and "You're heavenly" (or both, if your loved one is away.)

Coral Roses

Coral roses express one thing through their passionate color: Desire.

Peach Roses
Peach roses signify appreciation, gratitude, modesty, and also can convey sympathy.

Orange Roses

Orange roses communicate enthusiasm, desire, and fascination on the part of the sender.

Yellow Roses
Yellow roses indicate friendship and freedom ― so don't send them if your intentions are romantic and long-lasting. Yellow roses are also appropriate for sending congratulations to newlyweds, graduates, and new mothers.

Dead Roses
Regardless of the original color, dead roses say "It's over," loud, clear, and in a tacky and less
than classy way.
p/s i love roses very very much....wait for my own rose garden =)

~Marxism and Islam : is it compatible?

INTRODUCTION

Communism was developed by Karl Marx. Communism is a collectivist system in which the means of production are owned by the state and in which the products of the society are distributed according to needs. Communism can be said as the exploitation and class conflict inherent in capitalism. In its final stage, communism means a classless and therefore, stateless society. ( Moten & Abdel Salam, 2005,p.27). The concept of communism as it was originally meant, did not imply a national economic system, rather it meat a local, communal relationship among small groups of people. With the industrial revolution, however, two factors evolved that make collective production, distribution and consumption of goods on national scale is feasible. First, the mechanization production increased output so greatly that some people began to believe hunger and poverty could be eliminated. Second, improvement of the technologies and communications made it possible to organized, administer and control a national economic system. (Baradat, 1981,p.165).

In this discussion, I try to Islamize the concept of Marxist Communism. First part of the assignment I try to look at the meaning from the western and try to understand what is the Marxism. I look at the sociological, economical, historical and also political aspect and see how Marx develops this idea, on what basis he develops these ideas and so on. I also focus on his theory of work and how he develops his ideas. Then I look at the Islamic point of view about the concept of Marxism Communism. I focus on how Muslims scholars look at the compatibility between Marxism Communism and Islam and try to see whether Islam accept that concept or not.

MARXIST’S SOCIOLOGICAL, HISTORICAL, ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL THEORY.

Communism is a very old concept, can be traced back to the beginning of recorded history. Communist tendencies in Europe can be found in as early a work as Plato’s Republic, in early Christian life, in Sir Thomas More’s Utopia, in the German Anabaptis and in the English Levelers and Diggers. Communism is a very old idea that Karl Marx greatly influenced but certainly did not invent. The basic thought that Marx developed can best be understood in the context of the economic, social and political environment in which he lived. Marx believed that people’s idea are conditioned by their economic environment ant that economic change stimulates a dialectic conflict between those ruling and those ruled in the society.

The rulers use every available resource to keep themselves in power, but this effort is doomed to failure. Marx was optimistic about the future of humanity. He saw people in historical terms. He believes that individual naturally have freedom and creativity but had been prevented from developing completely because they were slaves to their own basic needs. The most fundamental assumption in Marxism is economic determinism. It implies that the economic factor is the primary forces behind any human motivation. “it is not the consciousness of men that determines their existence”, Marx argues, “ but their social existence that determines their conciouesness”. (Baradat, 1981,p.149). For Marx, the most fundamental fact of life is that people must produce goods before they can do anything else. They must also reproduce themselves, but they cannot even do that unless they are capable of feeding themselves. Thus, the material production or economic relationships are basic to all life. ( Sargent, 1990,p.128)
Marx saw all societies composed of two basic parts which are the foundation and the superstructure. The foundation according to Marx is material or in other words, the economic system is at the base of the society. He also points out two basic factors in the economic systems which are the means of production and the relation of production. Resources and technology that are available in the given society are the means of production and the economic system of the given country are determines by their interrelationship. The ‘relation of production’ are the social classes which are determined by the relation between people and the means of production.(Zeenath Kausar,2005,p.100).

According to Marx, the owners of the ‘means of production’ enjoys the most beneficial position in the economy, thus they become the most influential social group which is the ruling class. Marx said that the foundation of the society determines the nature of the society’s superstructure which rest upon the foundation. The superstructure is composed of all non-material institutions in the society including government, law, education, art, values and religion. The function of the superstructure is to assure the rulers continued dominance and to keep the ruled in their place. (Baradat, 1991,p.150). In addition, Marx looks at the government as a ‘tool of class oppression’ to manipulate the cultural elements in the society to give advantage to those people in the society who control the economy. Political power for him is nothing but an organized power of one class to oppress another. ( Zeenath Kausar, 2005,p.101). Marx also called religion “the opiate of the people” because he believed that it drugged them, numbing their senses and disposing them to put up with their wretched existence so that they would be rewarded in a mythical afterlife.

In addition, Marx points out that under capitalist system the different institutions are evolve in their superstructure. According to him, under capitalism, only who own the means of production remain the wealthiest and politically influential and powerful people and they form the class, the masses remain poor and would continue their miserable life unless they realize the reason of their dilemma and go for the revolution. Furthermore, in each phase of history, the primary means of social change is class struggle culminating in revolution. According to his Communist Manifesto, “The history of all hitherto existing society in the history of class struggle”.

History according to Marx has its own locomotive and inner momentum. The last stage, capitalism sees the most intense forms of oppression and exploitation, the inevitable rise of proletariat, the overthrow of the bourgeoisie and the coercive political apparatus, the capitalist state. The proletarian revolution leads to the abolition of private ownership of the means of production, and hence of classes, class struggle, and the state. Following the short perid of dictatorship of the proletariat in which the attempts of the bourgeoisie to subvert the revolution and restore the status quo are thwarted, the transition to a class society is completed. Humankind, thus, reaches a utopia of harmony, peace and plenty. ( Mostafa Rejai, 1984,p.55).

In addition to that, Marx also said that man is alienated from the activity of his own labor. The reason is simply that forced labor is against human nature, put in simple words, human is being dehumanized. Marx defines history in different ways, he mentioned that history moves and develops due to the struggle between divinely inspired ideas. Marx brought his own fundamental assumption of economic determinism and claimed that there is a dialectic conflict among worldly affairs. ( Zeenath Kausar,p.102). These issues thus led to the proletariat revolution where the oppress worker began to realize that their rights is being abuse. According to Marx, this is the final dialectic struggle. The proletariat would go for a revolution and would be successful in overthrowing the capitalist system. The proletariat would settle all the problems created by the capitalist system and all the class differences would be eliminated. This is where peace and happiness may be achieved. This class society according to him will adopt socialist economic system and the government would be democratic.

The proletariat then, according to Marx will develop two steps which are the establishment of the proletariat dictatorship ad later, the creation of democratic utopia. The system will democratic since the proletariat among the majority. Marx also mentioned that the nation-state system was developed by the capitalist as a part of capitalist superstructure, since he believed that the dialectic materialism was a law of historical development, and he expected that socialism would be adopted in every country in the world. As mentioned earlier, economic relationship is the foundation of the entire social system, he said that people must produce goods before they can do anything else. Marx argued that nothing had value without labor; neither capital nor land is of any value until labor is added. This is the labor theory of value. He also believed that profit of the capitalist was taken from the amount produced over and above the wages paid to the worker. This is the theory of surplus value.

Thus, Marxist theory is based on material aspect of life. Economic factor change human life as well as influence it. It also create class which can lead to the destruction (where the worker has been oppressed). As what has been discussed, after the revolution, the stage of what so called dictatorship of the proletariat will be created. During this stage, the state will be the tool of the dominant class and it will be use to achieved to goal of the proletariat. The economic system will be reorganized and the means of production must be taken from the capitalists and become the property of the state. The state must also establish a new way of administering the means of production so that the economy is kept running and goods produced, distributed, tribute and consumed. ( Sargent, 1998,p.144). After the goal of the proletariat has been achieved, then come the next stage, which the final, the full communism.

Full communism according to Marx is the goal of the entire system. I will briefly explain that the full communism there is no exploiters, only workers. The people will work without any incentives; all will be rewarded according to need. The class is no longer exist, and because of this, state will no longer be necessary and would disappear and would be replaced by the administration of things. Marx believed the entire world would become communist, both because people would choose the best system and because the logic of the dialectic led in that direction. Marx also thought class similarities would overcome national differences.

ISLAMIC VIEW ON COMMUNISM MARXISM

Islam was not the creation of class-based community. Islam is a comprehensive way of life and has established the principle of equality to all people. All people are equal and posses the same level. There is no distinction among the people, all are equal. Islam was not the outcome of conflict within the class based community, it was not a reactionary religion designed to maintain the privileges and wealth of the class of tyrants. Islam urged people to enjoy the pleasure of life and share the same opportunity as we are all brothers and sisters. Islam establishes the principles of equality of opportunity, a guaranteed level of income for all citizens and also promotes economic balance between individuals and the community. It is not the teaching of Islam when the people being oppress, Islam totally rejects the concept of discrimination, and rather, Islam promotes what so called the concept of brotherhood.

In addition, according to Sayyid Qutb, he asserts that the laboring classes who contemplate a class struggle have concluded that religion will not serve their cause in that struggle. (Zeenath Kausar, 2005,p.110). Marxist thought falls into the basic contradiction of asking people to make sacrifices and suffer for other while denying religious incentives and the life of the spirit. It is religion that provide man with the highest capacity for self sacrifice and for making every possible contribution to the community welfare. ( M.M Enani, p.68). According to the communists, the church uses religion as an opiate for the working class. This is the reason why there is a manifest communist hostility to religion. (Zeenath Kausar, 2005,p.110). Qutb points out that communism is compelled to oppose religion in order to safeguard the rights of the worker, but, however, it is not the case with Islam because there is no separation between Islam and society. Qutb writes that Islam is ‘at once worship and work, religious law and exhortation’ as Quran say :

O ye, who believe, when proclaimation is made for prayer on the day of assembly, strive towards the remembrance of Allah and leave off business. That is better for you if you are wise. But when the prayer is finished, scatter abroad in the land and seek the bounty of Allah. ( Quran, 62:9-10)
Qutb also mention that Islam has complete social order and he said that because of this Muslim should not go for other ideologies for the purpose of guidance or legislation. He also critics on communism on the materialistic perspective, in communism, as discussed earlier on, is a struggle for the satisfaction of the material needs of man, Islam on the other hand, establish unity in the material and spiritual aspects of life. Islam possesses an all-embracing view of life and does not allowed any division and separation among the different aspects of life. Thus, Islam is not only looking for the material aspect, but also the other aspect that related to life of human being as well.

Furthermore, according to Dr Mostafa Mahmoud on his book translated by M. M Enani, he said that the difference between Islam and communism is far greater; it is different in its basic concepts, principles, and application. Islam is against public ownership of all the means of production, which means that the government monopolizes everybody livelihood as well as everybody freedom. He said, communism proceeds, in its application of full nationalization from a materialistic interpretation of history and an irregular concept of class struggle which is totally rejects by Islam. He totally rejected Marxism due to he Marx’s deterministic view. He said, with regard to human affairs, nothing can be regarded as determinist or inevitable. We are not billiards balls or cogs in big wheels.( M.M Enani, p.105).

Moreover, according to Dr Mostafa Mahmoud, Islam proceed from a concept of harmony, concord, fraternity and cooperation between the rich and the poor, its requires the rich to pay the poor that what have been practice in Islam. The rich have to pay zakah for the use of the needy and the poor. Islam also promotes the concept of balance between individual and social interests. Islam does not only focus on individual’s aspect of life, rather than looking at the whole community. Therefore, in Islam, it is our responsibility to help each other, the rich helping the poor and so on, this is what has been mention in the Quran and the Sunnah. For example giving Zakah is the responsibility of the rich towards the poor, as the Prophet (PBUH) said:“Verily, Allah has ordained the payment of zakah on them (Muslims). It will be taken from the rich and returned to the poor “(Muslims). ( M.Zafar Iqbal,1998,p.64). According to Islam, it is a ruler duty to that money ( zakah) to be given to the poor without distort the private property. Thus, in simple word, Islam is simple, perfect and its principle are more advance than any other codes ( capitalist, communist, or even socialist).

In addition, according to Qutb, he points out the major difference between Islam and communism which is the conceptions of social justices. According to him, the fundamental outline of social justice in Islam are so comprehensives that it is not merely focus on economic justices, but it covers all aspect of life. Communism claimed only for the economic justices which is totally rejected by Islam as Islam is universal religion that covers all aspect of life. The other points that Qutb made is that on the economic justice. According to him, Islam believes in the comprehensive justices and comprehensive equality. He contends “justice in Islam is a human equality, envisaging the adjustment of all values, of which the economic is but one. ( Zeenath Kausar, 2005,p.111). Islam emphasizes the fundamental equality of the people and the fundamental justices among all unlike communism which believe in compulsory economic equality in the narrow sense of the term.

CONCLUSION

By looking at the arguments from the Islamic perspective, I can say that Islam and Marxism are not compatible. Islam looks at the aspect of human life in different way from communism. Islam is a comprehensive way of life, as discussed earlier, communism only look for the material part which is absolutely contradict with the teaching of Islam. When is come to the freedom and equality of man, communism look at the very basic part, one side, which are only on the economic factor. As what I points out earlier, Marx said that economic factor is the primary force behind any human motivation, whereas in Islam, we are not looking at only one side factor rather than we looking at all the factors that drive human motivation.

Muslims fighting for social and political injustices. What is emphasize in Islam is not only for the material part as what Marxist said about his work. Qutb said that communism is a secular origin, it is the division based on interests only, focus only the material part which is totally rejected by Islam. In addition, Qutb also points out that the excessive collectivism in Communism and excessive individualism in Capitalism have both failed to comprehend the basic nature of man, and again, it is not acceptable to Islam. So, as I can conclude here, Marxist communism concept is not compatible with Islam, thus it cannot be practice in Islam. Only Islam which keeps the balanced approach to life, bringing unity between matter and soul and between the individual society. Allah SWT has ordained for man this complete system of life. Islam alone possesses absolute knowledge of the nature of man and his requirement of life for justices, peace, success in here and also in the hereafter. Qutb writes :

Islam is an original genuine system with its own unique bases and an integral comprehensive plan,not mere adjustments to current understanding conditions. It is a system for conception and beliefs as well as for action and realities. Accordingly it alone is the system most appropriate and most qualified for understanding the commission of rebuilding the human life or new immovable bases.

FRIENDSHIP~

it is true than men are social animal by nature.. man cannot live without his fellow man....man need each other to rely on....

Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) stated, "The believer is like a mirror to other believers (in truthfulness)." Like a mirror, your friend gives you an honest image. He forgives your mistakes, but does not hide or exaggerate your strengths and weaknesses".

Two friends were traveling together, when a Bear suddenly met them on their path. One of them climbed up quickly into a tree and concealed himself in the branches. The other, seeing that he must be attacked, fell flat on the ground, and when the Bear came up and felt him with his snout, and smelt him all over, he held his breath, and feigned the appearance of death as much as he could. The Bear soon left him, for it is said he will not touch a dead body. When the Bear was quite gone, the other friend descended from the tree, and jokingly inquired of his friend what it was the Bear had whispered in his ear. "He gave me this advice," his companion replied. "Never travel with a friend who deserts you at the approach of danger."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is the story that tells about friendship
One day, two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face.
The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand:
TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.
They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:
TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?" The other friend replied "When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."
LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND AND TO CARVE YOUR BENEFITS IN STONE.
p/s : "They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them."
true friend stay when u need them to stay....that's what friend should do...to all my friends out there...thanks for being part of mine...hope that our friendship will last forever....i love u all...=)
~Nationalism and Islam
Nationalism : an overview
It is similar to patriotism, but whilst patriotism could be defined as the love of one’s country, nationalism focuses more on what shape that country should take. Nationalism could be described as the support of a nation, but every nationalist movement has different aims and origins, whether they are desires for autonomy, political representation, or self-preservation.
The beginning of nationalism
The French Revolution marked the beginning of remarkable changes that would affect world history. The most significant impact that the French Revolution brought is that the emergence of political mentalities. One of the example of political mentalities is that the growth of nationalism. In addition to that, nationalism is the French Revolutionary idea of community and equal citizens. The opponents of the monarch called themselves ‘La nation’, meaning by this the community of all French people irrespective of previous title or status. The slogan which is liberty, equality and fraternity personified this idea.( Baylis & Smith, 2005,p.525) As a result, the concept of nation was tied to the principle of equality of the people. This evolution in France was the same as in Americas, north and south.
Nationalism made a significant change in the mentalities of the people not only French people but also the others. The concept of nationalism had been adopted by the entire world. Nationalism has provided a new set of values and also the new system of legitimation for the system of the state. Nationalism has become the component of the state building and also the formation of common identity within societies. Nationalism has established the separated state. Nationalism also has established the European colonial empires. Moreover, nationalism actually provides the realization of democratic principle. Nationalism also brought more conflict among the state and sometimes may lead to war due to the fact that nationalism established the separated state and the realization of democratic principle. In addition, the modern idea of nationalism actually brings more negative impact rather than positive. Take for example the Arab-Israeli conflict; the rise of nationalism is the main factor that causes the conflict.
Nationalism is an ideology in which a people, regardless of their race, class or religion, feel that they have more in common with each other than they have more in common with each other than they have with other people and give their higher loyalty to the state they live in. ( Abdul Rashid Moten & El-Fatih, 2005,p.101). Nationalism encompasses the two phenomena noted at the outset which are , the attitude that the members of a nation have when they care about their identity as members of that nation and the actions that the members of a nation take in seeking to achieve (or sustain) some form of political sovereignty. ( Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy).
Islamic view on Nationalism
Islamic Nationalism
Allah creates people in nations and tribes. The wisdom behind it is that they know each other and explore their particular cultures and backgrounds. This variety should never be a source of difference or disagreement or fighting between each other, rather, it should be united in one faith or in other word, it should be rely upon the faith to be united. Allah said in the Quran "O mankind! Lo! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another." (Al-Hujurat: 13). Almighty Allah also says: "And if thy Lord had willed, He verily would have made mankind one nation, yet they cease not differing, save him on whom thy Lord hath mercy; and for that He did create them." (Hud: 118-119) .
In Islam we live as a brother and sister. We are ‘ummah wahidah, ummah, refer to the community of believers. The term is used to describe both individual communities, both great and small, of faithful Muslims and to refer to the world-wide community of believers. Muslims should strengthen the relationship between each other and always rely on faith. We should not rely upon races or over reacting on certain believes and cultures or races or any other differences but must rely on the true teaching of Quran and Sunnah. According to Yusof Al-Qardawi, he points out that we should not give the priority over anything else, but only to Allah and His Massenger.
He also points out that the natural outcome of nationalism then will be that people will give their cause a higher place than any other consideration. That is why we find that Arab nationalists give priority to Arabs over non-Arabs and even forget about any religious bonds. This goes contrary to the clear words of the Qur'an that state: "The believers are naught else than brothers." (Al-Hujurat: 10) The Qur'an commands us clearly to cast aside all considerations or links once they come in contradiction with Islam and the bond of Islam. Allah says: "O ye who believe! Choose not your fathers nor your brethren for friends if they take pleasure in disbelief rather than faith." (At-Tawbah: 23).
In addition to that, nationalism according to him separated religion from the state which is totally contradicted with the teaching of Quran and the Sunnah. Islam did practice nationalism, but in a sense of how it is perceived. It is how Muslims strengthen their relationship as a Muslims ummah that must be based on the teaching of Islam. Moreover , grouping the Muslims according to races skin color, and also cultures is clearly forbidden. It is narrated by Abu Da'wud that the Prophet (PBUH) said
"He is not one us who calls for `Asabiyyah,(nationalism/tribalism) or who fights for `Asabiyyah or who dies for `Asabiyyah."
Somewhere Only We Know
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete
Oh simple thing where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
I came across a fallen tree
I felt the branches of it looking at me
Is this the place we used to love?
Is this the place that I've been dreaming of?
Oh simple thing where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
And if you have a minute why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
Somewhere only we know?
~when a woman decides~
when i was a kid i always being inspired with Alice,the fairytale story that told us about imagination. nothing to worry...have joy...have fun....children!!!..they are free to do whatever they want...
life wasn't so easy as its always have different ways to be travel...there is not only one way that we should follow or take, but there are hundreds ways to be explore. i mean if we failed to find a way out in our journey, we can take another way to get there. no matter how long the journey takes, as long as we can reach there it doesnt matter at all....
WORK....it is a new challenge for me and STUDY is an interesting part to be enjoy and both are part of my life. so, even it is hard to go through both study and work but smehow it teaches me the real meaning of life, and i grow up to be more matured. My father always said " life is not that easy as what you think" life is complicated if you cant or failed to manage it". now i noe the meaning of LIFE and what my father always mention is true!
apart from that, i think whats matter is not only how to manage life.... but whats matter is what life is all about, what are the values that should we uphold to....that's what matters to me....Questioned about why we live and why we are here is that most important....coz it is interconnected wth each other and at the end of our journey, it bring us to the realistic overview of what life is all about.......and make us realize that we live with the same purpose....and that's the value.....the ultimate goal of our life......................... submitting ourself to the Oneness of God....
no matter how hard my life is....i have to go trough it..i dont want to be grounded with my own perception of what life is....i want to live freely....unbound with any rules that people created over me!!!!m not a robot that people can switch on the power to follow everything that they ask!!!.....not 'they' that draw my future it is me that can draw my own.....
" it is the only beginning"......i have to move....step by step....until i reach there......reach the star that i always want.....=)
"COURAGE" that's what i need.....my family always there to support me!!
first and foremost...I HAVE TO COMPLETE MY MASTER!!!.....then continue with my PhD...ill take any risk that come....may ALLAH bless me...InsyaAllah......
p/s sometimes motivating our own self is better than seeking other's advice! =)
~Kisah Luqman Al-Hakim dengan Telatah Manusia~
Dalam sebuah riwayat menceritakan, pada suatu hari Luqman Hakim telah masuk ke dalam pasar dengan menaiki seekor himar, manakala anaknya mengikut dari belakang. Melihat tingkah laku Luqman itu, setengah orang pun berkata, 'Lihat itu orang tua yang tidak bertimbang rasa, sedangkan anaknya dibiarkan berjalan kaki." Setelah mendengarkan desas-desus dari orang ramai maka Luqman pun turun dari himarnya itu lalu diletakkan anaknya di atas himar itu. Melihat yang demikian, maka orang di passar itu berkata pula, "Lihat orang tuanya berjalan kaki sedangkan anaknya sedap menaiki himar itu, sungguh kurang adab anak itu."
Sebaik sahaja mendengar kata-kata itu, Luqman pun terus naik ke atas belakang himar itu bersama-sama dengan anaknya. Kemudian orang ramai pula berkata lagi, "Lihat itu dua orang menaiki seekor himar, adalah sungguh menyiksakan himar itu." Oleh kerana tidak suka mendengar percakapan orang, maka Luqman dan anaknya turun dari himar itu, kemudian terdengar lagi suara orang berkata, "Dua orang berjalan kaki, sedangkan himar itu tidak dikenderai." Dalam perjalanan mereka kedua beranak itu pulang ke rumah, Luqman Hakim telah menasihatai anaknya tentang sikap manusia dan telatah mereka, katanya, "Sesungguhnya tiada terlepas seseorang itu dari percakapan manusia. Maka orang yang berakal tiadalah dia mengambil pertimbangan melainkan kepada Allah s.w.t. sahaja. Barang siapa mengenal kebenaran, itulah yang menjadi pertimbangannya dalam tiap-tiap satu."
Kemudian Luqman Hakim berpesan kepada anaknya, katanya, "Wahai anakku, tuntutlah rezeki yang halal supaya kamu tidak menjadi fakir. Sesungguhnya tiadalah orang fakir itu melainkan tertimpa kepadanya tiga perkara, iaitu tipis keyakinannya (iman) tentang agamanya, lemah akalnya (mudah tertipu dan diperdayai orang) dan hilang kemuliaan hatinya (keperibadiannya), dan lebih celaka lagi daripada tiga perkara itu ialah orang-orang yang suka merendah-rendahkan dan meringan-ringankannya."
::: human!! they have heart and feeling...and all those things...so they are free to criticize others...my teacher always told us about this story back years then...n she told us that human never satisfied with what they are now n always hve hatred in their heart if they see someone else better than they are!!that's human...naturally born with self-interest!whatever they see that benefits them they'll find in whatever mean to achieve that!
Kenyataan HALUAN: Pembunuhan Terbuka Di Laut Lepas
June 1, 2010
Pembunuhan Terbuka Di Laut Lepas – Dunia Menjadi Saksi Atas Kekejaman Dan Sikap Keganasan Israel Di Perairan Antarabangsa Laut Mediterranean
KUALA LUMPUR, Mei 31: PERBUATAN jijik dan amat memalukan yang dilakukan oleh rejim Israel pada hari ini dengan mengarahkan komando tentera lautnya menyerang kapal misi kemanusiaan Lifeline for Gaza (LL4G) “MV Mavi Marmara” sehingga mengakibatkan 20 orang terbunuh dan puluhan lagi penumpang yang tidak bersenjata cedera terkena tembakan telah menzahirkan betapa kejam dan ganasnya rejim Israel yang terkutuk itu.
HALUAN Malaysia selaku ketua NGO delegasi Malaysia ke LL4G dengan ini mengajak seluruh lapisan masyarakat, tidak kira kaum ataupun agama, agar segera mengutuk dan mencela Israel atas sikap kurang ajar mereka ke atas pelayaran damai (Freedom Flotilla) yang membawa barangan keperluan hidup harian kepada penduduk Gaza yang semakin terhimpit dek tekanan ketenteraan, ekonomi dan kemanusiaan oleh rejim Israel di bawah pemimpin-pemimpin mereka yang mendapat dokongan kuat Amerika Syarikat dan Britain.
“Kami ingin menegaskan bahawa penindasan Israel ke atas rakyat Palestin dan kini pembunuhan terbuka di atas kapal penumpang “MV Mavi Marmara” dengan penggunaan peluru hidup ke atas penumpang yang sedang tidur telah menzahirkan sikap ganas Israel yang jelas menyalahi undang-undang antarabangsa dari segi hak asasi kemanusiaan mahupun undang-undang maritim antarabangsa yang menegaskan bahawa tiada suatu negara pun berhak bertindak sewenang-wenangnya di perairan antarabangsa. Jelaslah Israel telah bertindak ala samseng dunia. Kini satu dunia mengutuk Israel dan konco-konconya,” tegas Prof. Madya Dr. Abdullah Sudin Abdul Rahman, Presiden HALUAN Malaysia.
“Kami ingin menegaskan bahawa seluruh penduduk dunia yang diwakili oleh para sukarelawan yang terdiri daripada pelbagai bangsa dan agama dari lebih 50 buah negara yang berada di atas kapal tersebut itu, mengutuk sikap Apartheid yang ditunjukkan Israel itu sebagai satu tindakan yang amat kejam. Israel telah sedar bahawa modus operandinya selama ini untuk decimate ataupun meluluhkan bilangan rakyat sah warga Palestin daripada tanah tumpah darah mereka sendiri sebagai suatu tindakan bangsa yang bangkrap adab, akhlak, idea dan tamadun.
Israel sudah tahu bahawa sudah ada gerakan antarabangsa yang kini sedang menjadi arus penentangan ke atas polisi luarnya yang amat menindas dan amat tidak berperikemanusiaan. Dakwaan mereka sebagai negara “underdog” yang dikepungi negara-negara Islam sudahpun lapuk dan kini Israel mahu mempamerkan yang ia mampu berlagak samseng di mata dunia untuk melangsungkan agenda kejinya itu. Ketahuilah, bahawa warga dunia tidak akan berpeluk tubuh terhadap sikap Apartheid Israel itu. Dunia TIDAK akan memaafkan Israel,” ujarnya lagi.
Pada bulan April yang lepas, Dr Abdullah Sudin Abd Rahman menegaskan di dalam suatu sidang akhbar bahawa penglibatan HALUAN di dalam misi LL4G ini adalah untuk “expose to the public the crimes which is being inflicted by the Zionist Israel regime and its allies upon the citizens of Gaza and the Palestinian Nation as a whole”. Kini, buktinya telahpun jelas lagi nyata.
Rejim Israel mengisytiharkan bahawa permusuhan mereka bukan hanya kepada orang Islam tetapi semua bangsa dan agama yang menentang agenda zionisnya. Sebab itulah tanpa rasa malu mereka telah memusnahkan masjid, gereja, hospital, sekolah, universiti, kompleks pentadbiran, stesen janakuasa elektrik, tadahan air minuman dan semua yang diperlukan untuk kelangsungan hidup.
Rejim ganas ini PERLU disekat oleh kita semua, rakyat Malaysia.
HALUAN dengan ini menegaskan bahawa kami melalui gabungan semua NGO dan badan-badan lain yang menentang sikap degil dan kejam Zionis Israel akan “Bersatu Untuk Palestin”. Kami menyeru semua lapisan rakyat Malaysia agar menulis surat atau emel kepada Duta Besar Amerika, Britain dan Mesir di Malaysia untuk menyatakan solidariti kita menentang sikap mereka yang menyokong bangsa dan negara Israel yang terang-terangan amat keji itu.
Akhirnya kami memohon dan merayu kepada seluruh rakyat Malaysia supaya berdoa dan bermunajat kepada Allah agar menyelamatkan semua sukarelawan yang menyertai LL4G dan menghancurkan Israel laknatullah.
